Description
This workshop presents procedures for using an assessment of student response to intervention (RTI) as part of a multidisciplinary evaluation to determine special education eligibility at the K–12 level. Participants will be able to (a) identify assessment procedures for RTI, including a student’s dual discrepancy of academic level and rate; (b) graph and calculate rate of improvement data; (c) articulate how RTI is used to determine eligibility for special education while ruling out lack of instruction and other disabilities or conditions; and (d) conceptualize language for composing evaluation reports.
