Description
What is appropriate and effective for pre-K–12 English language learner (ELL) and culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) students during response to intervention (RTI) and response to instruction and intervention (RTII)? It is critical to separate difference from disability issues while making efficacious decisions about the education of ELL/CLD students with learning and behavior problems. This workshop provides an introduction to the assessment, instruction, and RTI strategies that are most effective in identifying difference issues during the various levels of RTI and RTII programs. Specific screening strategies and interventions to implement during RTI and RTII will be presented. Participants will receive copies of screening tools and information on best practice.
