Description
Sustaining the implementation of RTI past the first year requires knowledge of specific collaboration, planning, and implementation strategies. Real changes in school culture, professional practices, and beliefs must occur to sustain systems change. This workshop presents strategies to sustain change in school structure and organization, professional development, staff roles and responsibilities (for example, coaching), staff evaluation (outcome based), and leadership to achieve sustained implementation of RTI. Through the use of direct instruction and guided group activities, participants will:
understand the systems change foundation for sustaining reform,
learn specific systems change practices critical to sustainability, and
develop a strategic plan to sustain implementation.
This workshop is relevant to pre-K through high school.
