Description
This presentation will describe a training program on responsible gambling developed for wait staff and managers of business establishments that offer video lottery products. Because this was the first program of its kind in the United States, an early phase of the program's development included holding a series of semi-structured discovery groups with wait staff, bar and restaurant managers, and problem gamblers to identify needs, barriers, and training strategies. The presentation will include a discussion of the phases of program development, findings from the discovery groups, displaying the resulting 15 minute video entitled, "we all benefit from responsible gambling", and preliminary evaluation results.
