DESCRIPTION
Antigen-specific immunotherapy of cancer holds great promise, and the technical aspects of manufacturing these cellular products has been in flux. In this session, lecture formats will be used to review the current state of the technology for manufacturing antigen-specific T cells and antigen-specific dendritic cells for treatment of cancer, clinical outcomes data for immunotherapy studies, future directions in research and treatment, how the requirements for donor evaluations have changed over time, what the labs expect to receive from collection facilities in terms of documentation, and what are the most common pitfalls in the interactions between collection centers and cell manufacturing laboratories.
