DESCRIPTION
What diseases represent an emerging threat to the blood supply? This audio conference will review several potential threats including babesiosis, dengue fever, malaria, and chikungunya. The speakers will review current and future options for screening diseases and the impact of potential loss of donors. The session will also look at the benefits, the public health impact and the cost of these diseases.
