DESCRIPTION
Management of human tissues for transplantation includes development of a multi-disciplinary approach to investigation of adverse events associated with tissue transplantation. Graft failures due to structural failure, failure to incorporate or inflammatory response may be underreported. A formal process to investigate complaints should parallel the investigative procedure for reports of graft-associated infections. Different strategies used by hospital tissue services will be presented in this session.
