DESCRIPTION
The Financial crisis has affected businesses in a multitude of ways, including their relationship with their local blood banks. This program will explore how some blood banks from across the United States are dealing with these challenging times. This recession is expected to continue for many months if not a few years, so it is imperative that blood bank staff members evaluate the impact this may have on their ability to collect blood and possibly reconsider their current recruitment strategies. Speakers will share not only the impact they have seen from the economic crisis but also how they have responded. Blood bank representatives will discuss how the economy has impacted their collections and also review any changes made to their recruitment efforts and strategies.
