DESCRIPTION
Using case studies, this program will provide an overview of resolution of ABO and Rh discrepancies, simple techniques for antibody identification and resolution of other serological situations. The clinical side of selected serological problems will also be discussed. Participants will have time to evaluate cases and discuss resolution. OBJECTIVES
- Identify causes of common ABO and Rh discrepancies
- Compare serological results to patient's clinical status
- Determine additional testing and describe expected results
- Evaluate and resolve serological problems
