DESCRIPTION
This session will provide a description of various methods that can be employed to successfully manage deviations and errors. The speakers will discuss methods used to document and track deviations, analyze trends in types of deviations, identify root causes, implement corrective and preventive actions and track effectiveness evaluations (follow-up measures to ensure the effectiveness of corrective action). The session will conclude with a discussion of using data for quality improvement. OBJECTIVES
- Describe and apply different methods of managing data from deviations
- Discuss and apply methods to track and trend deviations and their causes
- Utilize methods to track deviation corrective and preventive action
- Apply methods to track effectiveness checks and follow-up activities resulting from corrective and preventive action
