DESCRIPTION
The Emily Cooley Memorial Award began as a lectureship in 1963 and was designated as a Memorial Award in 1981. The recipient demonstrates teaching ability in technical aspects of immunohematology. This award commemorates Emily Cooley, the dedicated and beloved medical technologist whose work contributed to an increased understanding of hematology technology.

  • Discuss the ten most important randomized clinical trials that have changed transfusion medicine practice
  • Explain what constitutes evidence-based transfusion medicine
  • Evaluate clinical trials with regard to their potential importance for the clinical practice of transfusion medicine
