DESCRIPTION
Are you struggling with making significant change in your organization? Have you wondered what this "Lean" stuff is all about or what it can do for you? This program will simplify for participants the pathway of Lean Manufacturing and will address how Lean can uncover improvement opportunities in blood donor centers and pretransfusion testing facilties, both with transactual as well as manufacturing types of processes. Speakers will share their journey into Lean and beyond, as they applied the tools to their facility`s testing, blood donor collections, and component production operations. OBJECTIVES
- Define "Lean Manufacturing"
- List the five-step process of applying the Lean tools
- Describe at least four applications for Lean tools
- List at least four metrics that generally are captured, improved, and tracked with Lean Manufacturing
