DESCRIPTION
This session will include a presentation by an international speaker with an extensive background and knowledge of donor recruitment. The speaker will present information on the status of donor recruitment efforts in Latin America, issues impacting the donor recruitment effort and tactics and strategies used to meet patient blood needs. In addition, at the conclusion of this session attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions.

OBJECTIVES

• List the challenges facing donor recruiters in countries outside the US
• Explain the tactics and strategies being used to ensure that adequate donor recruitment occurs outside the US
• Evaluate statistical data on the recruitment of donors outside the US
