DESCRIPTION
Blood banking and transfusion medicine experts will share their knowledge and experience by answering questions submitted by participants before and during the meeting. Questions may cover a wide range, including compatibility testing, complex serologic workups, quality programs, quality assurance, quality control, donor infectious disease testing, donor deferral criteria, blood safety, apheresis, blood collection, component preparation, component therapy and new technologies applied to transfusion medicine and blood banking. Questions for the panel discussion can be submitted through the AABB Web site prior to the meeting and by using Cyber Connection kiosks during the meeting. OBJECTIVES
