DESCRIPTION
This event consists of multiple short presentations. The goal of the session is to provide unpublished new data and knowledge. Information presented will include original data from clinical and basic research and/or relevant unusual clinical cases. A short question and answer session will be held after each presentation.

OBJECTIVES

• Describe potential screening tests for parasitic infections in blood donors
• Explain the efficacy of filtration of prions and viruses from red blood cells
