DESCRIPTION
This event consists of multiple short presentations. The goal of the session is to provide unpublished new data and knowledge. Information presented will include original data from clinical and basic research and/or relevant unusual clinical cases. A short question and answer session will be held after each presentation.

OBJECTIVES

• Discuss genetic variability and detection of West Nile virus
• Describe an approach to dealing with a high-prevalence HIV donor population
• Explain clinical outcomes of pathogen-inactive platelets
