DESCRIPTION
This SIG will cover two major topics: Computer-Assisted donor interview software and implementation of ISBT 128 in the US. In the computer-assisted interview segment, speakers will discuss what criteria may be used to select a system, as well as actual experiences blood centers have had in implementing these programs. In the ISBT 128 segment, speakers will review the status of implementation in the US and issues related to transfusion service implementation of the ISBT 128 standard.
