DESCRIPTION
This session will cover BacT testing of apheresis platelets and the protocol we follow when a unit is positive (including the donor workup and temporary or permanent deferral). A case will be presented on Bacterial Contamination, along with a review of how an implicated donor was handled based on those reactions and workups.
