DESCRIPTION
This will be an interactive event with electronic audience polling to assess the breadth of medical options used when confronting challenging donor health questions. Possible issues include donor safety associated with certain blood or stem cell collection protocols, controversial donor selection criteria and difficult donor counseling issues. Topics will be solicited from the membership via SSCC and general announcements. The session will include a very brief overview of the subject by selected experts. The emphasis will be on input from the audience members’ practices. Carryover discussion, if needed, will take place in SSCC subsection meetings immediately following the session.
