DESCRIPTION
At the conclusion of this session, participants will understand the scientific benefits of single donation NAT and the drivers of this technology for infectious disease blood donation screening as well as the controversial side of this technology including cost effectiveness. Participants will be presented with the experience and perspectives of international blood organizations using, or contemplating, single unit NAT in place of mini-pool NAT, including presenters from the United States, South Africa, Australia and Europe.
