DESCRIPTION
This will be an interactive session with electronic audience polling to assess the breadth of medical options used when confronting challenging donor health questions. Controversial donor suitability issues will be solicited via Scientific Section Coordinating Committee and general announcements. Possible issues include deferrals due to close contact with hepatitis, medication use and travel to malarial areas. Other possible topics include logistical problems with implementation of an abbreviated DHQ.
