The session will offer a presentation of data and industry trends for various forms of cellular therapy including cord blood and peripheral blood progenitor cell collections. Topics will include an overview of potential research and business opportunities in cellular therapeutics and regeneration medicine beyond the scope of traditional blood banking. The speakers will also discuss points to consider for a blood collection center interested in participating in cellular therapies including costs, risks, the availability of grant monies and reimbursement issues. The program will conclude with a review of effective strategies a CEO may use to keep current with rapidly changing technology.
