DESCRIPTION
Created in 1983 as the Donor Resources Achievement Award, this award was renamed in 1991 to honor Nancy Chapman and Ronald Franzmeier, both of whom were exceptional leaders in the area of donor recruitment. This award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions locally and nationally to effectively enhance the recruitment of blood donors. The individual should have demonstrated leadership qualities and/or a consistent willingness to lend his/her expertise to the association and his/her peers. It may recognize one particular act or an accumulation of years of contributions. The recipient must agree to lecture at the AABB Annual Meeting.
