DESCRIPTION
This session will provide detailed insight into the rapidly evolving area of cell-based therapies. Special attention will be placed on the use of embryonic stem cells and amniotic fluid stem cells. Current developments and potential therapeutic approaches using stem cells will be discussed. While stem cells serve as an attractive cell source for various regenerative applications, current technological limitations impede a rapid clinical translation. Several enabling technologies that are designed to overcome the present challenges will be shared in this session.
