DESCRIPTION
This event will review the current CMS requirements for coding Transfusion Medicine services. Lecturers will discuss billing issues such as split components, irradiated components, autologous components, handling of in-house versus blood supplier charges, and other coding issues unique to blood components. Participants will have time to question the faculty on specific billing problems.
