DESCRIPTION
This session will cover tissue allograft adverse outcomes, accidents and errors, risk management issues for hospital-based tissue services and the investigation of adverse outcomes. Examples of tissue services occurrences that involve legal and regulatory risk will be discussed. The discussion of adverse events will focus on infectious disease complications and contaminated allografts. The discussion of investigation of adverse events will include reporting requirements. There will be ample time available for audience discussion with the hope that current issues will be identified and members will learn from the experience of others.
