DESCRIPTION
Abbreviated Donor Health Questionnaire (ADHQ) is a program to streamline the donation process, benefiting both the donor as well as the collections staff. The ADHQ process must ensure regulatory compliance related to donor eligibility as well as assuring that only qualified donors are subjected to the abbreviated questionnaire process. This workshop will explore the decisions, processes, challenges, limitations and pitfalls that can be encountered in implementing an ADHQ program. The experiences of two blood centers who have successfully implemented an ADHQ process will be reviewed.
