DESCRIPTION
Blood banking, transfusion medicine and cellular therapy experts will share their knowledge and experience by answering questions submitted by AABB members and the general audience before and during the meeting. Questions often cover a wide range of topics, including traditional blood bank and donor questions such as compatibility testing, complex serologic workups, quality assurance, quality control, quality programs, donor infectious disease testing, donor deferral criteria, blood safety; clinical management issues such as transfusion reactions, massive transfusion, therapeutic, and donor apheresis; hot topics: blood management; cellular therapy, and preoperative collection, and include new technologies applied to transfusion medicine and blood banking.
