DESCRIPTION
As the number of SBB distance education programs increases, the number of students from smaller institutions with limited resources has also increased. For some distance students, meeting the clinical training aspects of education has become challenging. This presentation will cover the impact online learning has had on the effectiveness of SBB distance education programs, and will include an analysis of examples of new teaching strategies that may be implemented in SBB distance education programs. The process of creating a social learning atmosphere in an online environment will also be covered, as well as ideas to identify alternate clinical education training sites for SBB distance program students.
