DESCRIPTION
As workload in the blood bank increases and the shortage of lab professionals threatens, the addition of automation in the blood bank allows for improved efficiency and staffing. During the selection process of a new analyzer, quality metrics and methods can aid in decision making. This program will discuss the use of decision tools and cost/benefit models for the selection and implementation of automation in the blood bank.
