Description
The session will present different applications of data mining using computer-aided tools such as spreadsheets and databases. It will further illustrate what can be done with the data to correctly define a problem statement and subsequently prioritize the problem statements in order of importance for problem solving. The session will also include practical applications.

  • Describe how to clearly write a problem statement.
  • Determine the types of computer applications that are useful in data mining.
  • Review how to use data and other management criteria to prioritize these problems.
