Description
This session will provide tools to help ensure that the administration of blood products is in full compliance with all regulations. Methods to improve the quality and integrity of patient identification and transfusion techniques/practices will be discussed. Recognition and management of the various types of transfusion reactions will be presented.

  • Explain the quality and integrity of transfusion practices.
  • Improve the quality of patient identification to prevent mistransfusions.
  • Recognize and manage transfusion adverse events.
