Description
This program will address true project management methods and techniques to the transfusion medicine practitioner. Project management professionals will present information on project management tools and project management successes in real life settings. The attendees will understand how standardized project management methodologies can assist them in controlling time, cost and scope resulting in decreased risk and increased quality solutions to their organization and stakeholders.

LEARNER OUTCOMES:
  • Assess examples of successful projects in real life transfusion medicine settings.
  • Describe the differences between true project management and process control.
  • Determine the benefits and value of project management implementation to the organization.
  • Introduce project management tools such as PMBOK, Enterprise Systems and manual project management techniques.
