OBJECTIVES:
  • Enhance transfusion service staff understanding through case evaluation for deviations reportable to the FDA.
  • Create a quality dashboard to monitor performance and facilitate communication for key quality indicators.
  • Develop tools to compare and evaluate key performance indicators such as CT ratios and turn around times for transfusion services.
  • Implement a computer based method for automating transfusion reaction investigations.
  • Achieve quality improvement through better reporting, evaluation, and feedback.
  • Manage changes to data in an automated system.
