Collection and Processing Partnership for High Quality Bone Marrow and Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Products
Description
This program will focus on a wide variety of essential components encompassed in quality assurance programs for the collection of HPC marrow and apheresis products. In this session, speakers will describe techniques to determine collection staff prerequisites and gauge training and competency, including assessments for infrequently performed collection procedures. Qualification of supplier and reagents will be described and examples of meaningful quality assurance audit systems for HPC collection, including product analysis beyond engraftment, will be discussed. Speakers will address the unique challenges faced when integrating multiple departments, facilities, and contract collection services in the development of a comprehensive quality assurance program as well as systems to acquire "downstream" feedback and establish effective communication processes for collection staff and facility.

  • Describe systems to develop HPC collection and processing partnerships for high-quality products.
  • Discuss approaches to evaluate and audit HPC collection supplies, reagents, and cellular products.
  • Examine methods to assess personnel qualification, training, and competency.
