Description
The ACGME and resident review committee (RRC) oversee medical education in the United States. The ACGME initiated the outcome project, which requires a competency-based curriculum and development of an assessment system. The goal of this session is to help those involved with medical education gain knowledge to develop the tools they need to fulfill these requirements and to improve medical education. In addition, the session will include other aspects of medical education such as mentoring, curriculum design, and adult education.

  • Determine how to measure outcome and performance improvement.
  • Discover how adults learn and explore innovative curricula for residents and fellows.
  • Obtain knowledge on evaluation tools and methods of feedback.
