Description
The SDI is for people - not about people. Improve relationships and manage conflict more effectively with this powerful self-awareness tool. The SDI looks at motivation when things are going well and during conflict. It is a practical way to make business and personal relationships more productive, an easy way to recognize and manage conflict while turning it into a positive force for change, a memorable way to discover your own relating style and potential sources of conflict for yourself and others and a proven way to look beyond other people's "behavior" to recognize and understand the motivation behind it.
The Mid America Division of the American Red Cross has incorporated the SDI into their leadership development programs to enhance team effectiveness throughout the organization. Presenters will share the impact this inventory has made on staff throughout the organization.

LEARNER OUTCOMES:
  • Complete an inventory to determine your primary motivational value system, thus allowing participants to appreciate your strengths and how to apply them.
  • Discover ways that one's personal strengths may be used to improve relationships with others.
  • Explain how motivational values affect behavior.
  • Provide an introduction to the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI), the learning model for effectively and accurately understanding the motive behind behavior.
