Description
This workshop is intended for medical directors, operations managers, and quality coordinators to understand process improvements for transfusion medicine support of obstetric services in support of labor and delivery services, including management of postpartum hemorrhage, Rh immune globulin prophylaxis and blood specimen ordering using blood type and antibody screen algorithms.

- Describe the role of the transfusion service in the support of high-risk obstetrics.
- Identify high-risk obstetrics and the incidence and clinical manifestations of postpartum hemorrhage.
