Description
This session will highlight 5-6 outstanding papers published in Transfusion during the last 12 months that are relevant to cellular therapies. Short summary presentations of selected papers will be presented by the authors and will cover a diverse range of topics including mobilization of CD34+ cells, the potential clinical impact of different mobilization schemes on stem cell recipients, quality assessment and management of stem cell products, and use of cellular therapies to reconstitute immune function.

LEARNER OUTCOMES:
  • Describe two potential clinical effects of different mobilization schemes.
  • Identify two findings from papers in the area of stem cell mobilization recently published in Transfusion.
  • Describe a current application for adoptive transfer of lymphocytes.
  • Identify an important observation from a recent paper that focused on quality assessment and management of stem cell products.
