Description
Built on the speed dating concept, this event will consist of rotating speed date sessions led by a “chaperone” who has an established track record in an aspect of molecular immunohematology. The session will consist of seven house parties of approximately eight participants organized by themes: clinical applications of molecular immunohematology; “dry matching” of red cells; donor genotype databases; understanding the molecular basis of blood group expression; ABO and RhD variants; establishing a molecular immunohematology lab; and transfusion support of sickle cell patients. At the end of each "speed date", participants will move on to another theme. A summary of the discussions, with participant interaction, will conclude the session. Attend this session to meet new colleagues, share experiences and swap ideas.

  • Discuss challenging concepts and leading-edge applications of molecular immunohematology.
  • Meet and interact with world leaders in molecular immunohematology.
  • Network with immunohematology professionals who have an interest in the application of molecular immunohematology and blood group genetics.
