  • Assess the relative advantages of a prothrombin complex concentrate-based protocol for treating intracerebral hemorrhage as compared with recombinant Factor VIIa.
  • Describe an effective perioperative blood management program, including how to conserve the Rh(D)-negative RBC inventory, and evaluate the effect of storage age of RBC products on clinical outcomes.
  • Recognize the role of laboratory testing in predicting mortality or hypercoagulability in critically injured trauma patients.
