Description
This session will discuss pediatric transfusion reactions in the context of international hemovigilance. Speakers will discuss definitions and surveillance activities and report on pediatric hemovigilance as compared with adult transfusion recipients. Tools for reporting and data sharing that are available through various networks will be discussed.

- Compare the differences between and similarities in pediatric hemovigilance reports from the UK, Canada and the United States.
- Review the current US and international standards for reporting adverse events associated with transfusion in pediatric patients.
