Description
This audioconference is designed to review current knowledge about granulocyte transfusions, including a literature review of indications and outcomes. The speaker will share his experiences with donor recruitment, stimulation protocol, and component preparation and transport at United Blood Services in Arizona.

LEARNER OUTCOMES:
  • Describe alternative therapies available for patients requiring ranulocyte transfusions.
  • Describe component preparation issues for graunolyte apheresis
  • Evaluate the clinical status of a patient requiring granulocyte transfusion.
  • Review regulatory or accreditory concerns with granulocyte apheresis.
  • Review the donation process for granulocyte apheresis, including donor preparation.
