Description
In 2009, Atlanta Technical College (ATC) received a U.S. Department of Education grant for predominantly black institutions and established the ATC Institute for Males (AIM). ATC’s grant project focuses on recruiting, retaining, and graduating from college more men, with African American men as a priority. The AIM project has been used by ATC to reverse a 10-year trend of decreasing male enrollment in its student population—almost 10%, which is representative of most postsecondary institutions in the country.
