Description
In January 2011, the Lumina Foundation for Education released a draft national “degree qualifications profile.” It is a transformational document that sets forth, in competency-based learning outcome statements, what students should know and do with their knowledge and skills—regardless of major field—at associate, bachelor’s, and master’s levels. The document is the first step in engaging the higher education community in shaping a statement of what our degrees really mean. This forum session will be one of the first major convenings in response to the document and actively seeks comments and suggestions from the community college community.
