Description
Community colleges are under pressure to increase access and improve student success—with diminished funding. New Jersey’s community colleges are collaboratively developing the kinds of big ideas that will help students succeed and colleges remain strong in what is fast becoming a “new normal” for American higher education. Participants will learn promising best practices in eight areas: Developmental Education and Improving Testing and Placement, Aligned Expectations Between Community Colleges and K–12, Student Success Data, Faculty Development for Adjuncts, Joint Purchasing Practices, Academic Consortia, Alternate Delivery Learning Systems, and General Education Course Redesign.
