Milwaukee Area Technical College in Wisconsin has engaged in a multiyear project to enhance its sustainability efforts as part of its ACUP Climate Commitment. These efforts include the state’s largest (32-acre) Photovoltaic Educational Laboratory, wind turbines, LED lighting, HVAC chiller conversions, composters, and hybrid vehicles. The effort is led by a campus sustainability committee in collaboration with a private sector partnership with Johnson Controls. The panel will review its sustainability vision from navigation sessions through implementation, including the development of sustainability curricula leading to degrees and certificates.
