In November 2010, the Community College League of California released A 2020 Vision for Student Success, a report calling for the League’s 112 member colleges to increase completions by one million and eliminate the achievement gap. The report, developed by a 33-member commission of college officials, identifies 17 strategies to achieve the goals, ranging from data disaggregation to hiring policies to an incentive funding mechanism. Members of the commission will share the experience of California, discuss some of the recommendations, and share how other college leaders can become internal leaders for change.
