Track : Institutional Capacity and Effectiveness
Program Code: 2856
Date: Monday, April 11, 2011
Time: 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM  EST
Location: 206-207
Description
Community college leadership is developing the first, national accountability system specifically BY community colleges, FOR community colleges. Pilot colleges are now testing the proposed metrics and performance indicators in the areas of college readiness, student progress and completion, and job preparation and employment. The VFA fills what community college advocates have seen as a void in measures appropriate for two-year colleges. AACC, along with its partner organizations ACCT and The College Board, will use pilot testing results to determine how feasible and useful the metrics are for community college accountability and benchmarking purposes. This is your opportunity to find out what has been learned from pilot college sites, and to provide input to the VFA initiative.
