Beth Purtee, Technical Services Librarian, Trevecca Nazarene University Beth Purtee is the primary cataloger and also oversees the acquisitions process for Waggoner Library. Beth is interested in the process of integrating e-books into existing acquisition budgets and workflow.

Serving as the serials librarian at Waggoner Library Annette Harber is also very interested in helping users’ access electronic resources. Annette led the effort in gathering and sharing information on the Patron Driven Acquisition model leading up to the decision by Waggoner Library staff to initiate this pilot program.

Description
As the demand for e-books continues to increase, libraries want to provide this important service to their patrons. Acquisition funds are stretched as libraries strive to provide a quality collection in both print and electronic formats. Shrinking budgets and increased user expectations present new challenges for libraries.
